KB126223198: iOS Studio Viewer app - Collada file will not preview

Question

I saved a Collada file from Studio Toolkit and when I try to open it in the iOS Studio Viewer app, the following message appears: "File import failed. Please check if the Collada file is a valid model".

Why am I getting this message?

Answer

Collada files written by Studio Toolkit are not supported in the iOS or Android Studio Viewer app. To make a Collada file viewable in the Studio Viewer app, open it in Illustrator Studio plugins and export it as a Collada file.
