KB148440873: ArtiosCAD - Upgrading when the Language Switcher has been used

Summary

What happens if an upgrade is started and the language that ArtiosCAD has been set to is different from the original installed language? As an example, ArtiosCAD English is installed on an English OS, but the language has been changed to Chinese using the Switcher.

Solution

An ArtiosCAD upgrade will always revert the system to the original installed language.

Example:

1. The original installed language is English.
   
2. Using the Language Switcher, change the start-up language to Chinese.
   
   
   
3. Start the upgrade wizard.
   
4. A warning message will be displayed on the InstallShield Welcome screen.
   
5. Click OK and the upgrade will continue as normal.
6. ArtiosCAD will now display the original installed language when the upgrade is finished.
