Multiple versions of ArtiosCAD can be loaded onto a system, but only one of these versions can be registered as the current Standard CAD-X or Enterprise CAD-X. How do I easily tell which version is the currently registered CAD-X or Enterprise CAD-X?
The easiest and most accurate way to tell which CAD-X or Enterprise CAD-X is currently registered is to run a small VBScript program that will load CAD-X or Enterprise CAD-X and report back the version number. To do this:
Download one of the following VBScript files. cadxver.vbs is for standard CAD-X, ecadxver.vbs is for enterprise CAD-X: cadxver.vbs ecadxver.vbs
Open a command prompt window. If you are on a 64 bit operating system, it is important to use the 32 bit version of the command prompt (C:\Windows\SysWOW64\cmd.exe).
Navigate to the folder you downloaded the VBScript file to and run the script using the wscript command. For example: to report the version of standard CAD-X, type wscript cadxver.vbs and press Enter.
This will report the version in a window, as shown in the screenshot given below:
