How can I find my WebCenter SQL Database Server and Instance names?
For example, if I would like to re-install or upgrade my WebCenter, I need to know where to find the current information.
Procedure
Follow these steps to find your WebCenter Database Server and Instance names:
- Navigate to
\Esko\Artios\WebCenter\ApplicationServer\Jboss\server\default\deploy(root drive of Application Server). - Open
wc5-ds.xmlin an editor such as Notepad++. In the highlighted area of the example screenshot (click to enlarge) given below, you can find the information you need. In this case, the SQL Server name is
SUPPORTWC3, the Instance Name isWebCenterand the Database name isWebCenter4_0.
If you are using an SQL Cluster, there may not be an Instance name and if that is the case, you MUST remove the Instance Name that is set by default (
WEBCENTER) during the installation process.
