KB181001740: ArtiosCAD - 2D workspace and toolbars will not setup properly with VMWare Fusion

Summary

ArtiosCAD 2D workspace and toolbars cannot be placed into position in typical locations below the icon bar at the top of the workspace. The toolbars will only "float" over the workspace and will improperly display "flyout". The dialog boxes associated with running standard are reduced in size to only one or two character spaces. Changing resolutions in Windows/10 does not correct or help the toolbars or dialog boxes.

Solution

Client was using a Mac book with Retina display with VMware Fusion V8 with a Windows/10 emulation using ArtiosCAD v14.1.3.

To correct the issue,

1. Locate the VMware toolbar (usually located above the OS emulation screen).
2. Turn off the Retina display option.
