Introduction

In the table below you can find an overview of the most common license activation errors and how to fix them.

If you encounter another error, please contact Esko Support:

The activation failed because the license is already activated.

The licenses you're trying to activate are already activated somewhere else.

  1. Verify that you activate the correct HTML-file (if you open it, you can see its contents).
    1. We normally send your HTML-files via Email.
  2. If you have the correct HTML-file, but you still get this error, go to MySoftware.esko.com > Licenses > Activated By Computer to check where the licenses are activated now.
  3. If you still have access to that computer, deactivate the licenses and re-start the activation.
  4. If you don't have access to that computer anymore, contact Esko Support.
The activation failed because the license you are trying to activate is already expired.

The licenses you're trying to activate are expired, because you're probably activating an old HTML-file.

  1. Verify that you activate the correct HTML-file (if you open it, you can see its contents).
    1. We normally send your HTML-files via Email.
  2. If you don't have the correct HTML-file at hand or in your mailbox, go to MySoftware.esko.com > Licenses > Not Activated and download the file you need.
    1. If you can't find the license you need, contact Esko Support.
The activation failed because your Account is not yet confirmed. Please confirm your Account.

 You've recently created an Esko ID, but it's not yet activated or confirmed.

  1. Normally, you should've received a 'Confirm your Esko ID' Email. Click the link in the Email, and re-start the activation.
  2. If you didn't receive the confirmation Email, you can ask to re-send it by signing in here: https://signin.esko.com/customer/Login.
The activation failed because your Account name or password is not correct.
  1. Do you use an Esko ID (your e-mail address) already?
    1. If so, check for typo's and re-try.
    2. If you don't know your password, you can reset it here.
  2. If you still used an older account, you'll need to create an Esko ID (here) and re-start the activation once you have confirmed your Esko ID.
The activation failed because your Account is disabled. Please contact Esko Support.There is an issue with your Esko ID, you can contact  Esko Support to get it fixed.
The activation failed because you are trying to activate a network license. Please activate this license in the Network License Manager.
  1. Launch the Esko Network License Manager.
    1. If not yet installed, you can download the Network License Manager via MySoftware.esko.com.
  2. Activate the licenses.

Check the license type in the HTML-file

If you open the HTML-file, it will tell you whether you have local licenses or network licenses

The activation failed because you are trying to activate a local license. Please activate this license in the Local License Manager.
  1. Launch the Esko Local License Manager.
    1. If not yet installed, you can download the Local License Manager via MySoftware.esko.com.
  2. Activate the licenses.

Check the license type in the HTML-file

If you open the HTML-file, it will tell you whether you have local licenses or network licenses.

One or more licenses you want to upgrade are not available

There is an issue to activate your upgrade key file.
