WebCenter 20 by default ships with Automation Engine 20 as the OBGE. As of Automation Engine 20, a new graphics kernel can be used to do the Prepare for Viewing. It might be needed to update/change the graphics kernel used, to be either inline with the Viewer in Automation Engine or to ensure consistent behaviour in WebCenter.
The OBGE is configured with two tickets that can be used for the Prepare for Viewing. The procedure explains how to select the correct ,ticket from within WebCenter.
On the WebCenter Web Server
Go to: ...\Artios\WebCenter\WebServer\tomcat\webapps\your WebCenter instance\config\config.xml
Open the file in a text editor.
To fall back to the behaviour of previous versions:
If BRIX was used for rendering, set the value to "WebCenter".
<!-- Name of the ticket used by the OBGE to generate the view files--> <ViewGenerationTicket value="WebCenter"/>
If you want to use the NDL graphics kernel for rendering, change the value to "Default"
<!-- Name of the ticket used by the OBGE to generate the view files--> <ViewGenerationTicket value="Default"/>
Save the file.
Restart the WebCenter TomCat service for the changes to take effect.
Changing the resolution to view files
Just as before, it's still possible to change the resolution used to view files. The next steps describe on how to configure this.
Upload a graphics file to WebCenter. This will trigger a Prepare for Viewing task.
Login to the Pilot on the OBGE.
Go to the Task View and open the Prepare for Viewing ticket that was just executed.
Change the resolution and save the ticket with a new name. For example "CustomResolution".
Update the config.xml file and change the value to your ticket name.
<!-- Name of the ticket used by the OBGE to generate the view files--> <ViewGenerationTicket value="CustomResolution"/>
