Summary

Layers imported from PDF into Adobe Illustrator flattened.

Symptoms

  • When a PDF is imported into Adobe Illustrator as Esko PDF, it can happen that multiple layers are flattened into a single layer and some effects or transparency options are wrongly applied. This can happen when the PDF contains an empty layer.
  • Several layers flattened into a single layer with the wrong grouping when importing a PDF file containing one or more empty layers.

What is a Hotfix?

A Hotfix is a software package that you can install on an existing installation of our software. Each hotfix contains fixes for one or more known issues in our released software.

Because there is always a small chance for a hotfix to cause new issues, you should only install Recommended Hotfixes, unless otherwise instructed by your Esko Software Support team.
