Description

This article explains how to use and create a Collada Archive in ArtPro.

The 3D object that you see in the Studio window is typically the combination of two files: artwork from the open PDF file in ArtPro and the shape from the structural design file that is placed in that document.

However, sometimes you would like to make combinations of more than one PDF document or more than one structural design file. Some examples are:

    •    A box with inside and outside artwork

    •    A bottle with more than one label

    •    A tray containing 6 cans

    •    A complicated multi-piece display

These combinations are typically saved in a Collada file (.ZAE file) with the so-called Multiple Printable Parts.

Example Files

Click here to download the example files.

The ZIP file contains:

    •    a Structural design file for the box (BOX.ARD)

    •    a Structural design file for the tray (Tray_final.ARD)

    •    Artwork for the box (BOX.ap)

    •    Artwork for the tray (Tray.ap)

    •    Composite (multi-part) Collada file (Composition.ZAE)
