KB73058762: ArtiosCAD - Unable to add dimensions on to curved lines

Summary

When trying to add dimensions to the curved or semicircular lines in the design using the Radius Dimension tool, the dimensions do not get added nor does any error message appear.

Cause

This could happen when:

• The imported .DXF, .DWG file is from a third party application.
• Lines are adjusted using Merge Lines into Bezier tool in ArtiosCAD.
• Lines are adjusted using Adjust Bezier tool in ArtiosCAD.

Solution

To make the dimensions appear, convert the Bezier lines to Arc by performing the following:

1. Launch the ArtiosCAD application and open the design in which the dimensions are to be added.
2. Go to Tools > Adjust Outline.
3. Click Change Beziers to Arcs.

You will now be able to add dimensions.
