When processing a job containing a linked PSD file, it becomes black.

When processing a job containing a linked PSD file, a spot-color of this PSD becomes an unregistered designer ink appearing black.

This is a known limitation for Adobe® Photoshop® files in which a spot PANTONE color has been renamed. The appearance for this swatch cannot be resolved during normalization.

Open your AI document, create an object and fill it with the corresponding color. Make it the first object of your document by arranging it to the back of your bottom layer. The first normalized object describes the color of an ink during normalization.
