SpecLink crashes after opening. A common problem with SpecLink crashing is due to a corrupt Job file (.fsp) in the HOT folder.


SpecLink will open and then crash after a few seconds when Polling starts.


There could be a corrupt Job file in the HOT folder. Check the Preferences in SpecLink to determine the location of the HOT folder. If there is a Job file in the HOT folder, you can move it to another location and try restarting SpecLink. If SpecLink runs ok, copy the Job file back to the HOT folder. If SpecLink crashes then that Job file is corrupt and needs to be re-entered.

Gather the following files to further troubleshoot: SpecLink.log and any related .csv file.
