KB82216337: FlexProofE - Do I need to update the FlexProofE prerequisites when installing version 12.1.2

Question

Version 12.1.2 doesn't contain new versions of the Proof Server and Esko Profiles product. Can I ignore the FlexProofE Prerequisites DVD?

Answer

There is no need to use the FlexProofE Prerequisites DVD when updating version 12.1.1 to 12.1.2 because the Proof Server and Esko Profiles products are the same.

Running the installer will incorrectly not recognize the installed version and therefore suggest to install the software. You can choose between Modify, Repair or Remove. It is advised to choose Modify, which will result in no installation of files.
