KB85658009: Esko Digital Front End (DFE) - Do we need to upgrade DFE to version 4.0.1 before upgrading Automation Engine to version 12.2

Question

Do we need to upgrade Esko Digital Front End (DFE) to version 4.0.1 before upgrading Automation Engine to version 12.2?

Due to some extra developments done on the Automation Engine side, Automation Engine 12.2 is not compatible with DFE 4.0.

Customers upgrading to Automation Engine 12.2 and currently are running DFE 4.0 need to upgrade to DFE 4.0.1.

For customers running DFE 3.1.1, there is no issue in upgrading to Automation Engine 12.2.
