Summary

After uploading a RGB TIFF file, also containing one or more PANTONE inks, the WebCenter Viewer shows the RGB inks as black.

Symptoms

RGB TIFFs are correctly converted to CMYK and view correctly.

However, when a PANTONE ink is also added to the RGB inks within the TIFF, the WebCenter OBGE assumes that these are now all Printable Inks. So, the separations, called R G and B are now designer inks and without color definitions, will display in black.

Workaround

Convert the PANTONE ink to RGB so the entire file is now RGB, or convert to CMYK plus PANTONE before upload.
