In the user menu, under Search > Reports, you can find two reports which are always visible to regular users, even without WebCenter Reporting licenses. Can these reports be hidden?

How can I hide the reports, Find Lost Documents and Project history report from regular users?


You can hide the Search > Reports menu item from regular users, by creating a custom menu.

In your menu customization, you can change the visibility of this specific menu item from All Users to Project Managers and/or Administrators.

How to exactly create and assign a custom menu is described in the User Documentation.

  1. As of WebCenter 16.1 those two built in reports are visible for administrator users only by default. An administrator user can extend the visibility to other groups in the Admin section, under the Preferences > Reports menu.
