How to create a new RIP workflow in Nexus?

Procedure

For PDF workflow:

    1. Open Nexus Manager and connect to the server.
    2. Go to View > Workflows and click New Workflow.
    3. Name the workflow, for example: NXR_PDF_KBA175.
    4. Set the Workflow Type as PDF RIP.
    5. Set the Input Type: as Hot Folder.
    6. In the Outputs, double click None.
    7. Confirm by clicking OK.
    8. Give the correct path to your hotfolders. For example Nexus/Nexus_Mac/Hotfolders/PDF/NXR_PDF_KBA175. By clicking on the small button on the right, you can browse to the correct path.
    9. Check the Show in Shuttle checkbox, if you want your workflow to be visible in Shuttle or Automation Engine.
    10. Confirm by clicking OK.
    11. Unlock the padlock.
    12. Define the screening parameters and the output in Rasterise Separations.

For PostScript workflow:

  1. Open Nexus Manager and connect to the server.
  2. Go to View > Workflows and click New Workflow.
  3. Name the workflow for example NXR_PS_KBA175.
  4. Set the Workflow Type as Basic.
  5. Set the Input Type: as Hot Folder.
  6. In the Outputs, double click None.
  7. Confirm by clicking OK.
  8. Give the correct path to your hotfolders. For example: Nexus/Nexus_Mac/Hotfolders/PS/NXR_PS_KBA175. By clicking on the small button on the right, you can browse to the correct path.
  9. Check the Show in Shuttle checkbox, if you want your workflow to be visible in Shuttle or Automation Engine.
  10. Confirm by clicking OK.
  11. Unlock the padlock.
  12. Define the screening parameters and the output in Assemble Separation.

If you want this workflow to communicate back to Automation Engine, add the Copy to Automation Engine task.
