Description

This article describes how to create a "Double Hit White" using the DeskPack Plugin White Underprint.

Procedure

  1. Open the White Underprint Palette via Windows > Esko > White Underprint.
  2. Click the Palette fly-out menu on the far right hand side and select Options.
  3. Change the Ink name to "White Ink" and then click the small color window to adjust the color.
  4. Select the desired elements to become the White Ink plate.
  5. Enter the desired Offset (amount to enlarge or reduce elements) and then select "Choke" or "Spread".
  6. Click "Add" to create the White Ink element.
  7. The new White Ink element will be placed on a new layer named "White Ink" and the color will be added to Swatch list.
  8. Deselect the newly created White Ink element.
  9. Click the Palette fly-out menu on the far right hand side and select Options.
  10. Change the Ink name to "White Ink 2".
  11. Select the recently created White Ink element.
  12. Set the desired amount for the pull back for the second white and click the "Add" button to create the second White.
  13. The new White Ink 2 element will be placed on a new layer named "White Ink 2" and the color will be added to Swatch list.
