The following are the minimum system requirements for Color Engine Pilot 14.1. Exceeding these requirements will in most cases lead to a performance increase. Running Color Engine Pilot on a system that does not meet these requirements is not supported.

Minimum requirements

Minimum System Requirements for Color Engine Pilot 14.1
Processor type and speedx86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) compatible processor (Intel or AMD), minimum dual-core.

Minimum 4GB RAM.

Available hard drive space

An NTFS volume is required. The software takes maximum 1 GB of disk space. But take into account the need for storage of temporary and production data. A backup solution is strongly advised.


10/100/1000 Base-T Ethernet, TCP/IP v4 protocol, TCP/IP v6 protocol is not supported.

In order to use the PantoneLIVE cloud subscription service, an internet connection and a PantoneLIVE account are required.
Graphics card and video driversMinimum 1280 x 1024 resolution, true color depth.
VirtualizationNot supported.
Supported SpectrophotometersThe following spectrophotometers are supported for a serial port:
  • Gretag Spectrolino/Spectroscan
  • Gretag SPM50/55/60/100/100 II
  • X-Rite 938/968, DTP22, DTP41, SP88, SP68, Spectrofiler
  • Minolta 3300/3600, CM-2002, CM-508, CM-3000
  • Gretag SpectroEye

The following spectrophotometers are supported for a USB port:

  • Barbieri SpectroSwing
  • Gretag Eye-One
  • Gretag ICColor
  • Gretag SpectroEye
  • X-Rite DTP70
  • X-Rite Eye-One IO (generation 1 and 2)
  • X-Rite Eye-One Pro (generation 1 and 2)
  • X-Rite eXact

  1. I don't think there is such a thing as "Windows 8.1 SP1". The major update to Windows 8.1 is officially called "Windows 8.1 Update" (see and its System Requirements.)
    This should be corrected, as any mention about "Windows 8.1 SP1" will only cause confusion.
    Unless, of course, someone can locate a link at confirming existence of Windows 8.1 Service Pack 1.
