The following are the minimum system requirements for Local License Manager 20. Exceeding these requirements will in most cases lead to a performance increase. Running Local License Manager 20 on a system that does not meet these requirements is not supported.

In a virtual infrastructure, you must be sure the VM parameters are fixed and do not change, examples are Unique identifier, Disk size, Memory layout, size, CPU, MAC address.

You may need to update your Windows system to the latest Windows Updates before installing the Local License Manager. The Local License Manager installer will explain you if this is necessary.

** Esko tested on Pro editions. ** It is best practice to run license servers on Windows server only. Esko does not qualify Workstation editions.
The network latency should not exceed 100msec, you can find more info here.
The name of the computer running the Esko Local License Manager should contain ISO LATIN characters only and should be stable and registered in DNS server (if any).
When virtualizing a physical OS, you must first deactivate the licenses on physical OS, then you can activate the licenses on virtual instance.
When using VPN network, the VPN must ensure the MAC addresses do not change across different VPN sessions.
