Solution

Procedure

The file name can be added by a Geometry Macro with Calculated Text in it.

Step 1:

  1. Create a new design file in ArtiosCAD.
  2. Select the Calculated Text tool on the ReportMaker toolbar. Place the indicator box in the desired spot and click the mouse button. The Calculated expressions catalog will appear.
  3. Expand Database information. Locate and expand Design folder.
  4. Select Name and click OK.
  5. Save the file.

Step 2:

  1. Add the saved file to the Geometry Macro Catalog.

    1. Go to Options > Defaults.

    2. In the Defaults window, expand Geometry Macro Catalog. Locate and expand Utilities (you can also select the desired folder in the list)
    3. Right-click the Utilities folder and click New > Data. Give an appropriate name (say fileName).

    4. Double-click the newly created data, fileName.

    5. In the File Name: text box, browse and select the saved file.

    6. Select the desired Placement option from the drop-down list and click OK.
    7. Save the Defaults. Refer Save Defaults for more information.
  2. Place this Geometry Macro in the design file to add file name.
    1. Go to Tools > Geometry Macros....
    2. In the Geometry Macros Catalog expand the Utilities folder and select the macro.

    3. Click OK to place it in the design file.
