My company has multiple locations and company codes, do I need to create multiple Esko IDs to get access to all locations?

No, this is not needed. With your own Esko ID you can get access to the software and licenses of all your company locations. You can contact our support team to set this up for you.

Downloading software

Which software can I download from MySoftware.esko.com?

On MySoftware, you can download all software that you've purchased (= software for which you have licenses):

  • On My Software you can download the latest version that is available to you.
  • On Archived Software you can also download all previous versions, until Suite 12 (released in July 2012).

What if I don't see software I need?

We only show the software for which you have licenses, If you don't see certain software, you can check the following:

  • Check whether your Esko ID is linked to the correct company code:
    1. Click on your name in the top-right corner > My Esko ID.
    2. Verify whether the company code linked to your Esko ID matches with the company code for which the licenses have been created (the company code on any Esko order document).
    3. If this is not correct, contact our support team to update your Esko ID.
  • If your Esko ID is linked correctly, check whether you have the necessary licenses. If licenses are missing, contact our support team

Downloading hotfixes

What is a hotfix?

A hotfix is a software package that you can install on an existing installation of our software. Each hotfix contains fixes for one or more known issues in our released software.

Should I always install all hotfixes for my products?

No, there is always a small chance for a hotfix to cause new issues, so therefore we recommend to only install Required Hotfixes, unless otherwise instructed by our support team.

Can I get a notification when new hotfixes are available?

Yes, you can get a weekly e-mail to inform you about new hotfixes:

  1. Sign in to MySoftware.
  2. Click on your name in the top-right corner > Notification Settings.
  3. Select the notifications you want to receive, and click Subscribe now.

How can I manage my subscriptions?

You can manage your subscriptions online on MySoftware.esko.com/subscriptions.

On this management portal, you have two different views:

  • Unassigned subscriptions: per order you can see which subscriptions are still available and for which product, so you can assign them to your users.
  • Assigned subscriptions: per user you can see which subscriptions he/she has, since when, whether he's actually signed in and on which computer.

In this view...

You can see...

    • If this is more than 30 days ago, the user can't work anymore and needs to connect to the Esko server to continue working
Assigned cloudAll assigned subscriptions for Esko Cloud (Share & Approve Power Users and Share & Approve Standard Users)

What if I don't have access to my subscriptions?

To access your licenses and subscriptions, you need to have the 'License Admin'-role linked to your Esko ID.

If you don't have access, you can contact your Organization Owner or Co-Owner to assign the 'License Admin'-role to you.

You can find more documentation here:

If you have the correct role, you can verify whether your Esko ID is linked to the same company as for which the subscriptions are created (you can find the company code in the Order Confirmation email or on the invoices). If your Esko ID is linked to a different company, you can contact Esko Support to correct it.

How can I assign a subscription?

  1. Go to MySoftware.esko.com/subscriptions > Unassigned subscriptions.
  2. Select the product and click Assign.
  3. Fill in the e-mail address of the user, (you can add a comment if you want) and click Assign.
  4. The user will receive an e-mail with the download link, and you will see that this user is added to the Assigned subscriptions view. The license administrator which is mentioned in this e-mail, is the person who did the assignment.

You can see an example of an assignment e-mail here:

Can I assign a subscription to a user without Esko ID?

Yes, a user needs an Esko ID to start using the software, but you can perfectly assign subscriptions to users that don't have an Esko ID yet. In that case the invitation e-mail will also contain the instructions to create one.

This Esko ID is automatically linked to the same Company Code as your Company Code and the user doesn't need to confirm his Esko ID anymore.

How can I unassign a subscription?

  1. Go to MySoftware.esko.com/subscriptions > Unassigned subscriptions.
  2. Select the user and click Unassign.
  3. The user will receive an e-mail that his subscription is unassigned, and the subscription will be automatically removed from the user's computer. The license administrator which is mentioned in this e-mail, is the person who did the un-assignment.

You can see an example of an un-assignment e-mail here:

You can immediately assign the subscription to another user (you don't need to wait until the subscription is removed from the user's computer).

What if a user lost his subscription?

Users won't lose their subscription. As long as they know their Esko ID, they can sign in on any computer. If a user's computer got damaged, he can reinstall the software, he will again be asked to sign in and he can continue working.

I'm working for a group, can I see all subscriptions for my group?

Yes you can: by using the Location Filter on the top of the page, you can switch to the subscriptions from another location (you cannot see all your subscriptions in 1 view... yet!)
