Summary

This KB article describes what to do when the verification fails with as error message:

"clEPSON_PORT::Open: Printer not ready".

You will see this message in the proof server log and in the File tab (Warning and Error section) of the Proof Client queue when selecting the job with status as "Error".

Solution

  1. Open the following ports on the system where the proof server is installed:
    1. Port 9100 (Regular Printjobs)
    2. Port 4108 (Spectro Printobs)
    3. Port 161 (SNMP - Spectrocheck)
