Symptoms

Optimize PDF tasks and Apply PDF Action list fails with message:

  • Entered stage "Loading input file."
  • Retrying to open input file: D:\ExampleJobContainer\testjob\testfile.pdf.
  • Retrying to open input file: D:\ExampleJobContainer\testjob\testfile.pdf.
  • Retrying to open input file: D:\ExampleJobContainer\testjob\testfile.pdf.
  • Retrying to open input file: D:\ExampleJobContainer\testjob\testfile.pdf.
  • ERROR: Could not open input file: D:\ExampleJobContainer\testjob\testfile.pdf.

Solution

Problem is caused by temporary file cannot be created on C:\windows\temp\EskoPids folder.

To solve the problem:

  • Set the permission on the C:\windows\temp folder to read/write access for the administrators group.


Note

In version 20.1, a clearer message pointing to the folder where the problem occurs will be posted.
