How to create a SmartMark that calculates the total ink coverage of a file?
Answer
Go to Production > SmartMarks....
Click the Add SmartMark button and select Text Mark in the list.
In the SmartMark Options - Text Mark window, click Smart Text... in the Text tab. The Smart Text window will appear showing a list of parameters.
In the Smart Text window, click Ink/Color > Total Ink coverage:
Click Insert.
Close the Smart Text window.
Define the Style, Inks and the Position in which it should appear.
Click Apply.

Once this is done, the SmartMark is placed in the document but will not be visible as the ink coverage will not be calculated automatically!
Go to Inks > Ink Coverage....
Click Calculate.
