Description

Since WebCenter and ArtiosCAD Enterprise 12.1.1, the installation on Microsoft SQL Server Server 2012 is supported.

Procedure

To install MS SQL Server 2012 Express, please follow the steps given below:

1. Download MS SQL 2012 Express here.

2. Double click the installer and start the installation.

3. Click New SQL Server stand-alone installation or add features to an existing installation.

   

4. Accept the License Terms to continue and click Next.

   

5. A quick check will be done.
   

6. And the installation will be prepared.
   

7. Select the features you want to install.

   
   

8. Enter a name for the instance of your new SQL Server Express. You can also change the instance root directory if you want.

   
   

9. You can define separate account for each service. Leave as the default.

   
   

10. You can also specify your Database Engine Collation. Leave as the default.

    
    

11.  Choose the Mixed mode authentication type and then enter a password for the SQL Server system administrator (sa) account.

    
    

12. Then select Install and Configure and click Next.

    
    

13. The system will now continue with the installation.
    

14. Finally, the last screen shows that the installation process was completed successfully.

    
    

15. You may be asked to restart your computer.

    
    

16. You will then see the SQL Server 2012 Express with other tools is installed under All Programs.
    

17. Run the SQL Server Management Studio to check the connection to the Database Engine.

    

18. Add a new database named WebCenter4_0.

19. Using the SQL Server Configuration Manager, make sure TCP/IP is enabled for WEBCENTER.

20. In the SQL Server Services section, restart the SQL Server service. Also, make sure that the SQL Server Browser service is running.
