KB79701051: Automation Engine - Export to PDF task fails with the error message "ERROR: Received wrong number of bytes (1897 bytes too much)"

Summary

In Automation Engine 12.1.1, the Export to PDF File task fails on all normalized PDF files which contain wrapped LEN files.

Normalized PDF files which do not contain wrapped LEN files do not show the problem.

Symptoms

The Export to PDF File task's log file ends with the following error messages:

ERROR: Received wrong number of bytes (1897 bytes too much)

ERROR: Received wrong number of bytes (5546 bytes too much)

INFO: No PDF output file <D:\Export\1410009_S1__3522-05000-05-06_SCREEN_6455601_K_hej.pdf> is written

INSTALLING LOCAL PFSMAP : C:\Esko\bg_data_fastserver_v100\dat\pfsmap.cfg

Solution

Install Hot Fix 1204051 for Automation Engine 12.1.1
Upgrade to Automation Engine 12.2.0
