Summary

The error: "Printer linearization cannot be processed" can occur due to the following reasons:

  • The Proof configuration has become corrupt.
  • Missing linearization files.

Symptoms

All files sent through the FlexProof task completes through the FlexProof dispatcher with success, but error appears in the Proof Client step.

Solution

  1. Restore the Proof configuration settings.
  2. In the System Manager, go to the File menu and click Restore.
  3. Browse to your backup. Once the backup is restored restart the Proof Server.

To take the FlexProofE system configuration settings backup:

  1. Launch the Esko Proof Client.
  2. In the System Manager, go to the File menu and click Backup.

Workaround

If no backup has been created you will need to recreate the Proofer profile.
