Summary

When trying to logon via the WebCenter URL, you get either of the following error messages:

  • Unable to logon
  • All licenses are in use

When trying to logon via the ArtiosCAD Enterprise client, you get the error message: "Unable to logon".

Symptoms

When trying to logon via the WebCenter URL, you get either of the following error messages:

  • Unable to logon
  • All licenses are in use

When trying to logon via the ArtiosCAD Enterprise client, you get the error message: "Unable to logon".

The behavior is same no matter you choose 'work offline' yes or no. Also, the behavior is same for all users.

In case you have more activated floating licenses in the Network License Manager for other Esko software, it could be that these products do can start up with no problems. This shows that the root cause is not License Manager / License services related.

Solution

Update the Network License Manager to the latest version (via MySoftware).

Workaround

For now, the workaround is to restart all WebCenter services in this order:

On the Application server:

  1. WebCenter JBoss
  2. WebCenter CAD-X

 

On the Webserver:

  1. WebCenter Tomcat

After the restart, it should be possible to logon again.
