Summary

I would like to make PANTONE 877 a normal ink for proofing purposes. How can I do this?

Solution

You can make another version of the ink in your designer ink book and change it to be a normal printing ink by doing the following:

  1. Copy the PANTONE 877 or other ink to create a new ink in the designer ink book.
  2. Select the ink in the designer ink book.
  3. Click the Edit Ink button.
  4. Change the Opacity to 0%.
  5. After creating the ink, in your Proofing Strategy, you will need to use ink mapping to map the 877 PANTONE to the 877 designer ink that you created.
