KB155911180: Automation Engine - After the installation of an HD Flexo screen, the HD dots are either not visible or grayed out in the 'Image to Screened Separations' task

Summary

After the installation of an HD Flexo Screen Dot, the dot is either not visible or grayed out in the "Image to screened separations" task under the Separations tab > Dot field.

Symptoms

In Automation Engine 14.0.0:

• HD dot does not appear in the Separations tab > Dot: drop down list.

In Automation Engine 14.0.1:

• HD dots appear as grayed out and it is not possible to select them.

Solution

To make the HD Flexo Screens visible in the Image to Screened Separations task in Automation Engine, edit the ticket as given below:

1. In the left pane, select Output.
2. Select LEN File from the File Type drop-down list.
3. Select 4000 ppi from the Resolution drop-down list.

Once you have selected these two values, the HD screening dots from the C:/Esko/bg_data_screens_v020 folder will be shown in the Image to Screened Separations task > Separations tab > Dot field.
