KB179221588: Imaging Engine - Error "TIFFPainter.kError0 0 Cyan 0. TIFFAppendToStrip: Write error at scanline 41216"

Summary

All Imaging Engine tasks writing to our container that stores the TIFF files are showing errors. Imaging Engine tasks writing locally to the Example Job container complete successfully.

Symptoms

Log file from the task shows following errors:

TIFFPainter.kError0 0  Cyan  0
TIFFAppendToStrip: Write error at scanline 41216
EGRasterInterface.kNoOutputGeneratedForSurface00
Worker-1:: Job: 0 Failed
PixelMachine.kGenericError
Imaging Engine ERROR: Unknown exception in JPProgressInterface::jobDone: data cleanup
Controller:: Job failed

worker_1_log.txt shows the following errors:

Worker 1: Error: TIFFPainter.kError; TIFFAppendToStrip: Write error at scanline 41216; PlaneNumber:0; ColorantName:Cyan; SurfaceID:0;
Worker 1: Warning: EGRasterInterface.kNoOutputGeneratedForSurface; No Output Generated For Surface; JobID:0; SurfaceID:0;
Worker 1: Error: PixelMachine.kGenericError; Imaging Engine ERROR: Unknown exception in JPProgressInterface::jobDone: data cleanup;

Solution

Checking the output location the Imaging Engine ticket specifies shows less free space (only 25mb in this case). Once you increase the free space in the location, the Imaging Engine tasks will complete successfully.

Use ServerAdmin Server Check tool to view free space for the containers.
