KB208220466: Automation Engine - PitStop Server: The Preflight tool I set up in Configure is not saved/has disappeared

Summary

I can set up a Preflight Tool (f.i. PitStop Server 10, 11, 12 and 13 (32bit only!)) and save it in Automation Engine Pilot > Configure, but when I close the Configure window, the setup is not saved.

Symptoms

I can set up a Preflight Tool (f.i. PitStop Server 10, 11, 12 and 13 (32bit only!)) and save it in Automation Engine Pilot > Configure, but when I close the Configure window, the setup is not saved.

Reopening Configure no longer shows the Preflight Tool entry I set up, the "Preflight via External Application" tickets are not there (in case no Preflight Tool was defined yet before), or states "No Preflight Engine defined". 

Workaround

Cause of this is an issue in the closing of the Configure window while a (configured) Preflight Tool is selected/displayed. The concerned entry is emptied in this case. 

Workaround is to have any other item (Preflight Tool or other) selected/displayed, when closing the Configure window. So: 

1. Save the Preflight Tool entry (in case you changed it).
2. Select any other (not a configured Preflight Tool) item in Configure.
3. Close Configure.
