Why do I get a "Connection Failed" status for the Proof Server configuration in Color Pilot?

Answer

Check the following:

  • Is the Proof Server up and running? Verify this by trying to login with the Proof Client.
  • Make sure the Firewall is turned off on both the Color Pilot system as well as the Proof Server system. You will get SOAP errors in the proof server log file when the firewall is enabled on the Color Pilot system:
  • Is the Proof Server name correctly filled in?

If all above is OK then check the connectivity log file located on the Color Pilot system in this folder:

"C:\ProgramData\Esko\Proof\Client\Log\ColorPilot.exe-date"
