Summary

When restoring with Golden Retriever, the task fails with error about the path that cannot be found.

Symptoms

When launching the Restore ticket, the task may end up with the following error:

ERROR: Exception in Restore Task: Class: BG_ECouldNotGetFileInfo

Exception raised at line of file ".\bg_tfileinfo.cxx : BG_ECouldNotGetFileInfo: The system cannot find the file specified.

Cannot proceed here

ERROR: The Job data cannot be restored to the container specified.

INFO: See the task log file for more information.

Removing some copied data

ERROR: Exception in Restore: Class: BG_ECouldNotGetFileInfo

    Exception raised at line

    of file ".\bg_tfileinfo.cxx

    : BG_ECouldNotGetFileInfo: The system cannot find the path specified.

This is caused most probably due to the missing __Archive folder on the Container.

Keep in mind that this folder is not visible from the Pilot. You have to check if it is present by browsing the Windows Explorer.

Solution

If the folder __Archive is missing, create it in the root folder of the Container.
