What are optional SmartMarks ?

Answer

Optional SmartMarks are SmartMark scripts that were created for some specific use case but which are considered too specialized to be installed on each customer's system. These SmartMark scripts are not subject to the regular QA processes and are not part of the documentation. They are however part of the distributions and can be activated if they fit a customer's need.

How to activate them?

Install the marks data kit (this is part of the PackEdge/Plato, i-cut Layout and Automation Engine installers) and look in the folder x:\esko\bg_prog_marks_v010\dtl\gmf2k_optional (where x is the drive under which the marks product is installed). Each DTL file in this folder corresponds to a SmartMark script. To activate it, simply copy the script to x:\esko\bg_data_marks_v010\dtl\gmf2k_v013. After restart of your graphic editor, the new SmartMark will be available.
