Summary

On a Windows PC, when connecting to Automation Engine via browser and launch Pilot, the following error message. "Microsoft JScript compilation error. Syntax error" appears.

Symptoms

Connect to Automation Engine via browser and click Launch Pilot, Java Splash screen appears and then the error: "Microsoft JScript compilation error. Syntax error" appears.

Solution

Disable Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6). To disable:

  1. Click Start > Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings > Local Area Connection.
  2. Right click and choose Properties. The Local Area Connection Properties window opens.
  3. On the Networking tab, click to clear the Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) check box.
  4. Click the OK button.
