Summary

This article describes how to fix the situation when FlexProof is unable to display the Proofer specific model information.

Symptoms

FlexProof is sometimes unable to retrieve the Proofer model information which results in the following warning message:

Solution

The warning message appears when the XML file containing the Proofer specific details (x:\Esko\FlexProofE_v010\Server\Tickets\PRT*.xml) is missing. These XML files are sometimes not created due to insufficient permissions for the user used during the installation.

There are two possible solutions to create the XML files.

Method 1:

  1. Uninstall the FlexProof/E server component by clicking Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs > Esko FlexProof E.
  2. Reinstall with a user having administrator rights.

Method 2:

  1. Change the value for the debuglevel to 1. The debuglevel option can be found in the file: x:\Esko\FlexProofE_v010\Server\Tickets\SYS_0000.xml.

    <Debug>
    <Level type="int">1</Level>
    </Debug>
  2. Restart the FlexProof/E server component by right-clicking the green icon in the system tray and selecting Restart.
