After upgrading to Automation Engine 12.1.1, the Automation Engine Job Parameters are saved differently in the ArtLink information in ArtPro files. An Automation Engine workflow runs an ArtPro Action List to update the ArtLink parameters.
ArtPro 12.1.1 is not able to correctly display the ArtLink values when there is a connection to the Automation Engine Server set up in the ArtPro preferences.
When Automation Engine 12.0.1 ran the same ArtPro Action List, the parameter category was correctly shown in ArtPro 12.0.1.
Symptoms
ArtPro 12.1.1 does not correctly show Automation Engine Job Parameters in the ArtLink window, when ArtPro's preferences are set up to connect to the Automation Engine Server. This can happen on some rare occasions (in ArtPro 12.0.x, a user defined parameter category is used). Since 12.1, ArtPro also has access to Automation Engine SmartNames. One of these SmartNames has exactly the same name (category).
Solution
Upgrade to ArtPro 12.1.2 and Automation Engine 12.1.2.
Workaround
If you cannot upgrade at this time, you can:
Change the user value in the marks file. Change category to mycategory.
In the public parameter in the Automation Engine workflow (Apply AAL task) change parameter key category to mycategory.
The problem is caused by a naming conflict in Automation Engine job parameters in version 12.1.1. So changing the names to another value, prevents the conflict from happening.
