Summary

Documents linked in Tasks are not visible. This problem may be related to the use of special characters in the Task (Type) name.

Symptoms

  • Linked documents are not displayed in the Task.
  • You cannot access the Task Details from the Task Execution page.
  • You are unable to add linked documents to your Task.

Solution

This problem may be related to the usage of special characters in the Task (Type) name. Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Go to the project's Task Overview, by clicking the Tasks tab from the Project Details page.
  2. Click the Edit link for the Task with the issue described above. This will take you to the Task Edit page.
  3. On this page, in the Task Type field, you can see which Task Type your Task is based on.
  4. Check the name of your Task and your Task Type for special characters such as: ", '/, #, %, etc. If you see any special characters, these are likely to have caused the issue.
  5. Remove the special characters from your Task and/ or Task Type name.
