Only one user can modify the Shared Defaults when accessing ArtiosCAD Enterprise, the other users see them as Read-Only.
Symptoms
Only one user can modify the Shared Defaults when accessing ArtiosCAD Enterprise, the other users see them as Read-Only.
Regardless of whether this particular user is logged in or not, the other users cannot modify the Shared Defaults (Read-Only mode).
Other users have Full Permission rights on the Shared Defaults Project (for e..g.: ACadDefaults_Shared ) in Webcenter (go to Project > Security).
Solution
Logon to WebCenter as an Admin user.
Go to the Admin section.
Go to the Menu item Project Management > Find locked documents.
Search on the last name of the user who do can still modify the Shared Defaults, find the locked document Sysdflt.zip file from the Shared Defaults project of your current version and language and unlock it. This file contains the configuration of all settings in the Shared Defaults. As long as it is locked by a user, other users can only see them in Read-Only status. It was probably not released when the concerned user was saving a change in the Shared Defaults.
When configuring ArtiosCAD Enterprise defaults, the underlying file is locked as to prevent multiple users from accessing the same file at the same time, thereby potentially producing incomplete defaults configuration. This file is locked by the first user who accesses defaults in ArtiosCAD.
If for some reason, ArtiosCAD terminates unexpectedly or the user exits ArtiosCAD without saving the defaults, the underlying file can remain locked preventing other users from configuring defaults. Only that same user can configure defaults until he properly saves the defaults configuration.
