Summary
Cannot start Flexo tools and Ink tools (v14.0.68) license management is not available in DeskPack for Adobe® Photoshop®.
Symptoms
DeskPack Flexo tools and Ink tools version 14.0.1 is not working in the latest version of Adobe® Photoshop® CC 2014.
The "ESKO SETUP" is also missing.
Solution
The problem is because EskoSetup is already installed on the customer’s machine for older version of Adobe® Photoshop®. Therefore, when the Flexo tools installer is run again, it thinks that the EskoSetup is already the latest and doesn’t install it again. This is the reason for EskoSetup missing in Photoshop® CC 2014.
If Photoshop® CC 2014 is installed after DeskPack plugin, EskoSetup will not appear in Photoshop® CC 2014’s folder.
This is a limitation in Windows installer technology. The individual package is installed in two steps. In the first step, the plugin is installed to C:\Esko\… This is recognized by Windows installer mechanism. In the second step, we run a script to copy plugins to a different version of Adobe® plugin folder. The second step is not recognized by Windows installer mechanism. This is probably the cause of this issue.
Hence always install Adobe® Photoshop® CC 2014 first and then install the DeskPack Flexo tools and Ink tools plugin.
