Why do User members of a Group that is configured to use a Group E-Mail for Notification purposes receive Notification messages (instead of only the Group E-Mail address as a single recipient on behalf of the whole Group)?
Answer
Specific Notification Event types do not work with Group E-Mail feature properly and as a result the Group is considered to be configured in the default Notify all User Members of the Group mode.
This applies to the following Events:
New Project Member Invited
All the Approval related Events
This is a known limitation in WebCenter 14.1. All subsequent releases of WebCenter have this issue corrected: Group E-Mail feature is applied as expected for all the Notification Event types.
