When ripping a file you may need to create two separate LENs/TIFFs for a single ink. Overall you need one plate with screens and one plate with solids.

To rip screens and solids separately, you will need to create two separate inks. These inks can have the same color but will need to have separate names in order for Imaging Engine or FlexRip to handle these separations individually. This will need to be done in your editor.

  1. Create two new inks based on the original.

                         -Original Ink = PMS485

                         -Screens = PMS485screen

                         -Solids = PMS485solid

  2. Assign all screens of original ink to new screen ink.

  3. Assign all solids of original ink to new solid ink.
