Summary
When using the Compare tool in PackEdge, the align functions will give the following error: "Alignment change failed: Cannot retrieve image parameters because: No valid viewer license found!".
Symptoms
Unable to use any alignment functions in the Viewer-Compare tools in PackEdge.
Solution
One must use a local license to work with the alignment tools. Utilizing Network licenses causes error.
Reason
Problem is the Viewer-Compare application. It is a spawned JAVA application and does not know the name of the License Server. This is stored in the lwbrixusr.cfg file and Viewer-Compare has no access to that file.
