Outstack down movement will continue till the cable tension switch detects slack in the cable. If the switch fails to detect the outstack being all the way down the lift motor will continue running and wind the wires up backwards on the shaft.

Hardware test can be used to unwind and properly wind up the cables.


To keep this from happening, correct adjustment of the switch arm is imperative.

With outstack in down position (cable slack), the arm should be adjusted so you can hear a distinct click when bringing it up and when bringing it down.
