In Curve Pilot, when creating a curve strategy (.icpro) to apply a curve on certain dotshapes, some dotshapes are not available in the predefined list.
Symptoms
When creating a curve strategy (.icpro) to apply a curve/DGC on certain dotshapes, some dotshapes are not available in the predefined list. e.g.: the Paragon dots and FM dot are not in the list, see below screenshot:
Solution
For these dotshapes, you have to type in the dotshape code.
Paragon dots
Paragon Diamond35 (short code PARDIA35) --> type in PARDIA35.
Paragon Elliptical35 (short code PARELL35) --> type in PARELL35.
Paragon Euclidean (short code PAREUC) --> type in PAREUC.
Paragon Round (code PARROUND) --> type in PARROUND.
The selected DGC(s) will now be applied to objects containing these dotshapes (object based screening).
FM dot
For the FM dot --> type in FM.
If you want a curve/DGC applied for a specific FM dot, you have to proceed like in below screenshot. As the FM dot in Imaging Engine is defined by a certain ruling (see this doc FM screening in Imaging Engine), you have to add the ruling and select the DGC accordingly.
The selected DGC(s) will now be applied to the objects containing these dotshapes (object based screening).
