KB181001326: WebCenter - Workflow Connection works but Documents do not appear in Automation Engine

Summary

In case you have files containing special characters, typically not allowed in Windows file names, files may not sync from WebCenter to your Automation Engine Job.

Symptoms

Following symptoms may occur:

• When synchronizing a WebCenter Project to Automation Engine, the Job in Automation Engine gets created successfully and correctly.
• If you ordered the files of the Project to be synchronized to Automation Engine as well, they do not appear inside the Job.
• The Project in WebCenter you try to sync files from, contains at least one file with a special character such as a square bracket ([) or other.

Solution

Upgrade to at least version 14.1 of WebCenter, the issue was solved in that version.

Workaround

Do not use special characters such as square brackets in your file names.
