What can I do if ArtiosCAD cannot import a DWG or DXF file correctly?
Answer
As of ArtiosCAD 12, DWG files and DXF files can be imported using 3rd party libraries supplied by the Open Design Alliance (ODA).
By default when importing DXF files, 3rd party libraries are used. The setting can be found in Options > Defaults > Startup Defaults > DWG/DXF Options:

If the DXF import gives errors or the results are unexpected, the Import DXF files using third party libraries checkbox can be cleared. This will have ArtiosCAD switch to its original, native DXF reader.
This reader has been deprecated in favor of the ODA libraries and is not being actively developed, but there may be semantics that might succeed where the ODA libraries do not.
