Symptoms

Ripping is slow:

  1. Task ends green.
  2. File is ripped.
  3. JDF submission takes longtime.
  4. The task log file shows the following message:

    PixelMachineServer:Worker_1>.B GM_TServer$TClientHandler:SetResult
    java.io.IOException: connection has been forced to be interrupted by the remote host

Solution

Problem is caused due to communication issue between Imaging Engine and PixelMachineServer on the Automation Engine. The port used on the Automation Engine is 4420.

Open the port 4420 on the Automation Engine Server by excluding the Java program:
drive:\esko\bg_prog_fastservercltnt_v1602\jre\bin\java.exe
